PRIMARY FUNCTION:  Provides for the safe operation of the assigned bus and control of the passengers while transporting to and from their assigned education center or school-related function.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

1.   Educational Level:

 

      a. Applicants for bus driver positions must hold at least a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

      b. Must satisfy all other federal/state hiring requirements appropriate to designed position, (background check)

 

 

2. Certification License:

 

    a. Must have, or be able to obtain, a valid Georgia State CDL driver's license with P & S endorsements. Free training program for Georgia CDL and Endorsements.

 

3. Experience:

 

   a. Experience driving a commercial vehicle preferred, but not required

 

4. Physical Activities:

   

    a. Routine physical activities that are required to perform essential duties and job responsibilities.

 

5.  Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

 

   a. Written and oral communication skills, supervisory skills, ability to deal with multiple tasks, and interpersonal skills.
